Provide Credentials for NextCloud Installation

Provide a Username & Password

Provide your new Administrator account's username and password that you will use to log into NextCloud once installed. This is important right now. Don't loose these credentials.

Nextcloud Setup - Username & Password

File Storage

Leave this alone for now. Since Heroku uses Ephemeral Drives, this location will not work. But, we will have to change this later on in the installation.

Database

We will need to obtain the database information so that NextCloud can properly setup and store the Database structure as well as the Admin Username & Password you are supplying. WE will need to get this information from our Heroku App.

Nextcloud Setup - Initial Database

Set the database to PostgreSQL and finally, input the Database Credentials gathered earlier.

Setup Database & Initial Config

It's now time to Click the Finish Button.

Nextcloud Setup - Finish Button

Nextcloud will be in an installing state for a few minutes. This is normal. However, note that this will fail and that's ok.

Nextcloud Setup - Installing

You're going to receive either one of two errors. You may either receive an Application error from Heroku:

Heroku - App Error

Or, an error from Nextcloud: The username is already being used .

Nextcloud Setup - Error - User already exists

When you receive either of these two errors, Do NOT click the Finish Button again!, nor Do NOT attempt to redo the installation again. This is normal during the install process. Instead, move to the next step: Update Config File with Database Credentials
