Environment Variables
We will now need to update Heroku's Environment Variables with the Keys from S3. Again, to keep the security credentials out of the git repository.
Heroku Settings
To get to Heroku's Environment Variables, we need to get to the Settings Tab Section. In your dashboard, go to the infinite-lowlands-88888 app. You will be in the Overview tab section.
Select the Settings Tab Section
Click on the Reveal Config Vars button to view the Environment Variables associated to your app.
Add four new keys and associated values to the config vars for S3:
- S3_BUCKET
- S3_KEY
- S3_SECRET
- S3_REGION
